Call for Papers
Submission opening:
19 January 2026
Abstract submission deadline:
19 April 2026
The 2026 edition of the RADiation Effects on Components and Systems (RADECS) Conference will be held on 28 October – 2 October in Prague, Czech Republic.
It is organized by the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics (Czech Technical University in Prague) on behalf of the RADECS Association and technically co-sponsored by IEEE-NPSS.
The RADECS 2026 conference is soliciting papers describing significant new findings or developments in the following areas:
- Radiation Effects Modelling
- SEE Mechanisms and Modelling
- Simulation of radiation effects in mixed radiation environments
- Single Event Effects in Devices and Integrated Circuits
- Radiation Effects in Photonics, Optoelectronics and Sensors
- Radiation Effects in Devices and Integrated Circuits
- Total Ionizing Dose (TID)
- Total Non-Ionizing Dose (TNID)
- Synergetic Effects
- Single Event Effects (SEE)
- Radiation Effects in Complex Devices and Systems
- Radiation Hardening Techniques (Device, Board and System Level)
- Radiation Test Facilities & Dosimetry (including novel instrumentation and methods for radiation field characterization and dosimetry in space and at test-facilities)
- Basic Mechanisms of Radiation Effects (including the radiation response of wide bandgap semiconductors)
- Radiation Environments
- Radiation Hardness Assurance
Authors must conform to the following requirements:
- Prepare a single PDF file of an informative two to four pages summary describing results appropriate for 12-minute oral or a poster presentation. The summary must include a 35-word abstract and sufficient detail about the work to permit a meaningful technical review. The summary must be no less than two and no more than four pages in length, including figures, tables, and references.
- Prepare your summary using the two-column format of the IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science template.
- Obtain all corporate, sponsor, and government approvals and releases necessary for presenting your paper at an open attendance international meeting.
- Submit your abstract in electronic form only through the RADOCS online tool
Authors are prompted to state their preference for presentation (oral, poster or data workshop contribution) and session.
The final category of all submissions will be determined by the Technical Committee which is responsible for selecting final papers and assembling the technical agenda.
Papers accepted for oral, and poster presentation at the technical program will be eligible for publication in a special issue of the IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science. Selection for this issue will be based on a separate submission of a complete paper that will be subject to the standard full peer review.
The Radiation Effects Data Workshop is a forum for papers on radiation effects data on electronic devices and systems. Workshop papers are intended to provide radiation response data to scientists and engineers who use electronic devices in a radiation environment, and for designers of radiation-hardened systems. Papers describing new simulation techniques and results, or radiation test facilities are also welcome.
The procedure for submitting a summary to the Workshop is identical to the procedure for submitting RADECS summaries. Radiation Effects Data Workshop papers will be published in the RADECS 2026 Conference Proceedings but are not candidates for publication in the special issue of the IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science.
